Navindra Maharaj was born on a small Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago. From  childhood Navin was always known to be an entertainer amongst his friends and family so it was no surprise that he has developed into the musician and a stand-up comedian that he is today.  Highly influenced by the electronic, rock and soulful sounds of the 1980’s, Navin influences include Stevie Wonder, Journey and  James Horner amongst others. Braveheart and Interstellar are movie soundtracks that made a deep imprint on his music.  His approach to music draws from the philosophy of Indian Classical music structure and arrangement, where the focus is on the emotional impact that the music has on the audience.
